Don't miss 'Santa Paws' holiday pet portrait Saturday
Santa Paws is coming to South County for a good cause. On Saturday, Dec. 4, you and your pet can have your picture taken with Santa and help support the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center. The facility has been serving Aliso Viejo since January 2009.
Santa Paws will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Winter Wonderland Village nestled in the Kershaw Garden at the Mission Viejo Civic Center, 200 Civic Center.
The cost is $20 (cash or check only) for the portrait with Santa, and 100 percent of the proceeds will benefit the animals at the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center located at 28095 Hillcrest. Friendly and social pets are welcome.

Santa Claus is coming to town Sunday
Santa Claus will arrive in Grand Park on Sunday, Dec. 5 during the Aliso Viejo Community Association's (AVCA) Winter Holiday Event
The City is a community partner in the roughly 3-hour holiday event, which attracts people of all ages to the Grand Park/Town Center Amphitheater for a festive seasonal celebration.
The fun kicks off at 4:30 p.m. and includes live entertainment; complimentary cookies and hot chocolate; and tons of holiday cheer.
Besides the arrival of jolly old St. Nick and his jovial bride, visitors will enjoy the official lighting of the holiday tree.
Kids can also visit with Santa after the formal program.
