Snow Fest set for January 28
The City of Aliso Viejo will once again transform a pristine park into a winter wonderland with Snow Fest on January 28.Visitors will enjoy the Grand Mountain (long run), Bunny Slope (short run) and Snow Man Park for youngsters 5 and under. The special event takes place in three sessions from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Grand Park. Along with tons of snow, Snow Fest will feature refreshments and music.Pre-event registration is required and begins for Aliso Viejo residents only on Saturday, January 7, with open registration beginning Wednesday, January 11, if space is available. Registration takes place at City Hall, 12 Journey. Christmas Tree recycling starts Monday
Christmas Tree recycling begins on Monday, December 26 and continues through January 13. All ornaments, lights and stands should be removed from trees and those that are over 6 feet tall should be cut in half. If possible, please place your tree bottom first and upright in your green waste container. If you cannot use the green waste container or do not have one, place your tree curbside on your service day.Since Christmas and New Year holidays fall on a weekend this year, trash pickup service will be unaffected.
