Aquatic Center Opens April 30th

Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center opens April 30 with another exciting season for residents of all ages

In celebration of its 10th anniversary, the City is gearing up for another fun-filled season at the Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center, which opens to the public on April 30.

The facility is a resort-style swimming complex in the heart of Aliso Viejo at 29 Santa Barbara, near Glenwood and Golf Drive. The center boasts a junior Olympic 5-lane lap pool, recreational pool, children's wading pool, toddler splash pad, adult whirl pool, Oasis Cafe, locker facilities, restrooms, and a patio with an outdoor patio fireplace.

The Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center will be open daily for fee-based swim lessons and a swim team through September 30. Residents can enjoy recreation swimming on weekends until Memorial Day and recreational swimming on a daily basis after that. The facility also features water aerobics and private parties.

The April 30 opening day is from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and features $2 admission. Guests of all ages will enjoy entertainment and water games along with $2 hot dots and $1 fountain sodas. Registration for the Flying Fish Swim Team will be held that day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The swim team meets in the spring from May 10 through June 9 and from June 13 to August 4 in the summer. The team, offered through Blueray Management, is geared toward kids ages 4 and over. Blueray Management is also offering the "Learn to Swim" program for kids ages 3 to 8 during the spring and summer.

Residents can take advantage of season and monthly passes, which go on sale April 16. Season passes are $150 for adults; $90 for youth and seniors. Monthly passes are $50 for adults and $30 for youth and seniors. People who buy a monthly or season pass between April 30 and May 27 will receive an Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center sport water bottle. Bring the water bottle on each visit and receive 50 percent off fountain-soda beverages at the Oasis Cafe.

During the season, the center will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends. Admission for Aliso Viejo residents is $5 adults; $3 youth (ages 2-13) and $3 seniors (ages 60+). Non-residents pay $7 for adults; $5 youth and seniors.

The public can also savor birthday parties or any special occasion by booking a day-time pool party.
